GoLocal Bay Area Term Certificate

Supporting projects in the Bay AreaGo Local Term Certificate

At Self-Help Federal Credit Union, our mission is to build community wealth for all. With 22,500 active members in the Bay Area, we work to support local community economic development projects throughout the Bay. Over the last decade, we've provided over $360 million in loans throughout the greater Bay Area region. Some of our accomplishments include:

  • Helping over 1,022 families become homeowners through our affordable home lending program.

  • Providing over 3,981 Fresh Start Loans to help members improve their credit scores.

  • Serving communities ignored and underserved by mainstream banks -- 84% of our loans
have gone to low-income households and 77% to people of color.

As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), we pride ourselves in deploying capital to maximize impact in underserved communities. We leverage all of our deposits to responsibly lend to individuals and organizations in the Bay Area, back to you: our members.

If you are interested in investing in the Bay Area, we can help you put your money directly into local projects through our GoLocal Bay Area CD (Term Certificate).
