Self-Help Credit Union was established in 1984 in North Carolina. Over the past decade, we have merged with more than 10 community-focused credit unions. These locally-rooted institutions were seeking to stabilize their operations and increase their products and services. Today Self-Help Credit Union serves more than 89,000 members through 38 branches and lending offices across North Carolina, Florida, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia.
